A growing number abandoned weather stations dot the countryside of Ireland as Automation and Digital instrumentation takes over from what used to be a hive of human activity, collecting data . Drawing parallels with photography’s move to digital and the Victorian instruments still used to date, as a means to write with light in documenting the sun’s intensity and duration during daylight, i played with the notion of ‘trace’ in photography and memory.
