Fergus Doyle is a multidisciplinary artist working in photography, text, sculpture and Video. His formative years spent in London during what is commonly described in Ireland, as The Troubles is a strong backdrop to his work. Contradicting Information portrayed by both the UK and Irish print and broadcast media of the time led his interest in multiple social histories and the power structures that add to the control of our perception of events and place. His interests lie with questions relating to perception, representation and the construction of images and histories, while also focusing on the tension between text and image, between reading and visualising and in a larger sense between the fabricated and the real.

Fergus Doyle has worked on several public art installation projects as Technical Manager, including; Kilkenny Arts Festival, 2008, The 2004 Carlow Art Festival eigse, Visual Arts Coordinator with Carlow Arts Festival Visualize. He is Co Founder of Studio 9 and Currently working as Technical Officer at Wexford School of Art and Design, Wexford Campus. Fergus has a First Class honours in Fine Art and an MBA
